A Year in Review

In the past year, I have knit more projects than in previous years (15 completed since 1/1/10 and right now have 6 projects in the works - a blanket, a sleep sack, a pair of socks, a shawl, a pair of longies, and a sweater/longies set). It's official. I've lost my mind. But in the interim, here are pictures of what I've been knitting in the past year.

Since the last updated in January (with the scarf...)

A shawl (January)

A scarf (February)
(for which I failed to take a picture)

A sweater for a four year old (February)

Some shorts for a special baby (March)

Some socks that I traded away for other yarn because they were too pastel (May)

A snuggly alpaca shawl (June)

A hat/longies set (July)

A sweater coat (started in February - put aside and finished in July - won first prize at the fair)

A crazy bright shawl for our 7 year old who "want[ed] a shawl like yoooooourrrrs..." (August)

An anniversary present for my hubby (August)

A pair of socks for my little guy since his big sis already had a pair and he needed some like heeeerrrs(August)

A crochet neck warmer from yarn I spun (August)

A baby shrug (September)

Winter Warmth Edition

So it's been stupidly cold here and the latest knitting has been winter warmth...

Also, here is a soaker made for a little one who is due in a few weeks.

Socks

So I participated in a Three Irish Girls co-op back in May. We got our lovely yarn in October and I finally had a chance to knit some lovely socks for the princess out of the Kate yarn that she selected.

Long Time No Post

So instead of jogging... which lasted all of oh, about 10 weeks... I got engaged, moved, got married, started a new job, and have been busy working, knitting, and doing a little dyeing over the past year.

Here are some fruits of the crafty nature:

Elizabeth Zimmerman's Pi Shawl (from the Knitter's Almanac)

Overdyed to this...

Kate Gilbert's Clapotis (from Knitty.com)

Log Cabin Blanket for the Princess (from Mason-Dixon Knitting)

My First Ever Socks (from Knitpicks two at once toe up pattern)

Little Bit's Pants (from my own pattern)

So I'm mid knit of another clapotis, a sweater for little bit, a cardigan for myself, and soon some mittens for the princess. For more... see my flickr

Confessions of a Lousy Blogger

Okay so running AND blogging AND knitting aren't going so great. However, I have accomplished a fair amount of dyeing since the last update. Most of it went to custom orders and some to the one year anniversary stocking of my Hyena Cart.

Total Yarnage

(minus the targhee... it's down in the car).

It's...

1lb Kona Superwash
1kilo of BFL for a friend - dyeing 1 lb; sending her the other pound undyed
1kilo of BFL for me
1lb of BFL for a friend
1lb of dyed pf for that friend
8 ounces of boyish rainbow licorice twist for a friend
3lbs of licorice twist (only 1.5lbs of LT is pictured)
3lbs of Andee
2 lbs of undyed PF

The andromeda (and one pound of licorice twist) got sent off today along with 1 lb of BFL undyed... didn't get a pic. D'oh!

Oh Andromeda

A mama on a parenting group asked me to dye her some Andromeda for a clapotis. She liked the idea of the cherry mint chocolate that I dyed for my DS for the chunky wonder class last spring/summer (it was cherry red, minty blue, and chocolate brown).
Here's the original:

Here's how it came out on Andromeda:
